Why Aqua Therapy?

The effect of gravity is reduced in the aquatic environment, making exercises easier to perform. When a person pushes against the water his or her efforts are matched by the water. Such gentle resistance reduces the likelihood of getting hurt and increase their range of motion while strengthening weakened muscle.

Patients can begin our exercise program without increasing pain levels or stress on painful joints. Rhythmic movements, such as walking at various depths, aqua-jogging, and swimming, safely improve cardiovascular endurance and increase fitness.

Water exercises can be started safely soon after injury or recovery from surgery. It is possible to begin a moderate aquatic exercise program during the pain-control phase of rehabilitation.

Prins Aqua Therapy creates a supportive atmosphere from recovery through personally designed programs, interaction with the staff, and socialization with the other patients.
